Grade 5 Hoodies!

The grade 5 hoodies have arrived and they look fantastic! Students proudly wore their new hoodies for the rest of the day.

Thank you to the PAC for subsidizing the cost of the hoodies, ensuring each student was able to receive a grade 5 hoodie, running HotLunch for purchases, and to the parent who organized and facilitated.

Winter Art and Visit from Sinterklaas

Our hallways are lined with beautiful winter artwork created by our talented students and our foyer is sparkling with trees decorated by Division 1 students and lights hung by our PAC.

Yesterday morning Sinterklaas elves visited the school. Students left a shoe in the hallway and came back to find that the elves had left a candy cane in each shoe! This is a Dutch winter tradition where Sinterklaas arrives on December 5th to leave a gift on the doorstep. There were squeals of joy heard in the hallways!

Parkour

Here we put our climbing,  jumping, landing, and rolling skills to the test. Parkour is a city active where participants climb, jump, land, and roll all around the city. The obstacle has different choices of routes for the students with varying difficulty. They are counting their laps and learning to pace themselves keeping safety as the number one priority.

Skating in Division 1 and 2

The students in Division 1 and 2 thoroughly enjoyed their skating experience at ARC on Wednesday November 20th. Students had fun playing hockey, chasing their friends, and scooting around on seals. Even Mrs. Fetterly and Mrs. Bonk got into the fun!

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who accompanied us and helped lace up skates and encourage kids - you were amazing! After more than two hours of skating, the kids even go to enjoy a well-deserved treat back at the school. What a great day!
