Day of Remembrance & Action on Violence Against Women

On the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, flags at all Abbotsford schools and district sites are lowered at half-mast.

On this day, over 30 years ago, an act of violence shook our country and led Parliament to designate December 6 as The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. As we mourn the ones we lost and remember their lives, we reaffirm our commitment to creating workplaces and schools free from gender-based violence.

Division 1 and 2 Skating Field Trip

Grade 5’s in Divisions 1 and 2 thoroughly enjoyed their skating experience at ARC on Thursday November 17th.  Students had fun playing hockey, chasing their friends, and scooting around on seals!  Even Mrs. Fetterly and Mrs. McClelland got into the fun!

Thank you to all the volunteers who accompanied us and helped lace up skates and encourage kids – you were amazing!

After two hours of skating, the kids even got to enjoy a well-deserved treat back at the school. What a great day!
