Chick Hatching!

Some lucky students have been learning about chick hatching. They have been watching the growth and development of the eggs in their incubator until they hatch, then documenting how they are growing and changing daily.

Grade 5 Basketball

Sandy Hill had two grade five basketball teams this spring. The students began practicing as soon as the skittle ball season ended and we found some games to play with the Abbotsford Christian grade 5’s. In our gym we played half court 4 verse 4 games but at Abby Christian we were invited to use the high-school gym so the athletes got more of a real basketball game experience.

Division 1 Public Speaking

Congratulations to Division 1 Public Speaking Finalists!

Over the past couple of months, Division 1 students have been hard at work learning how to compose a formal speech and express themselves eloquently while speaking to others. They have been learning how to use eye contact, vary the pitch and volume of voice while speaking, and use gestures to help convey emotion and sentiment. They then took to the stage (okay.. just the front of the room).. to entertain, persuade, and enlighten us - the whole class did amazing!
