Cops for Cancer - Tour de Valley

On Thursday September 22nd Cops for Cancer - Tour de Valley visited Sandy Hill Elementary. The entire school lined up at the front of the school to provide a warm welcome.

Cops for Cancer is a fundraising event that includes law enforcement and emergency services personnel who cycle across regions and engage communities en-route. For more information please visit their website.

Abbotsford Receives $1.9M From Province for One-Time Funding

(Abbotsford) — The provincial government is providing $60 million in one-time funding to school districts across the province to support families with back-to-school costs. Earlier this week, the B.C. government announced they are using funding from the Student and Family Affordability Fund toward back-to-school costs to assist families struggling with the rising cost of living due to inflation.

Back to School Event

September can be a month of anxiety and stress for families as it presents the back-to-school season for children. On August 27th, the Abbotsford School District, in partnership with the Abbotsford Food Bank, Hope City Church, The Salvation Army Centre of Hope, and Relate Church, will host the 4th annual back-to-school event to support families in need. This event will provide each child with a backpack of school supplies, hygiene products, a hamper of dry goods, a hamper of perishable items and a $25.00 gift card for Superstore.

Cops for Cancer Presentation in Division 13

Division 13 was visited by one of this year's Cops for Cancer Tour De Valley participants who is also a parent!
