Soccer!

It was definitely wet but we had an absolute blast playing in the soccer tournament this week! Big thanks to the coaches, Mrs. Fetterly, Miss Riddell, Madame Hawkins, and Madame King who  have helped our cross country and soccer teams so far!

Diya's for Diwali

Mrs. Adi's class, along with their buddies in Mrs. A. Hall's class are learning about Diwali, the festival of lights and new beginnings. Diwali will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 24/22 this year. At school these buddy classes decorated Diya's together, which are small clay lamps. Happy Diwali everyone!

Abbotsford students make their mark on election day

It won’t just be the adults watching for election results on Saturday night.

More than 60,000 elementary, middle and high school students across B.C. have cast their ballots now in the municipal elections, including in Abbotsford. Student Vote is a process that’s been taking place in public and private schools, through CIVIX, a non-partisan registered Canadian charity dedicated to strengthening democracy through civic education.

A room in a school is set up exactly like a polling station, with students volunteering as the election officers.

Fall and Thanksgiving

Mrs. Adi's and Mrs. Hall's classes have been learning about Fall and Thanksgiving. Mrs. Old Coyote joined both classes for an outdoor circle time where she shared the significance of the Fall season for Indigenous Peoples.

Grade 5 Social

PAC would like to thank all the amazing volunteers at last night's Grade 5 Social event. From the members of our Grade 5 Committee to our fantastic Grade 5 teachers, and of course, our fearless leaders, Mrs. Erickson and Mrs. Wildeman... THANK YOU! October 5th is World Teachers' Day, and the Abbotsford School District is celebrating the 1,500+ innovative educators across the district who prepare and inspire our students for a lifetime of success.

Teachers are a cornerstone of quality education systems and play a key role in building inclusive and equitable societies. Today, we celebrate the teachers within our district and commend their dedication, passion and commitment to this profession.
