Yukon Dan

On Wednesday October 27th all Grade 5 students participated in a hands-on presentation by Yukon Dan. Yukon Dan is a professional gold panner who taught the students how to pan for gold and separate minerals with magnets. He also brought with him his extensive collection of gold related items and treated students to an engaging and educational interactive discussion about ‘gold fever’ in British Columbia.
The students thoroughly enjoyed his presentation and even got to take home a small souvenir from Yukon Dan.
