La fête de la rentrée!

On Friday, September 13th,  / vendredi le 13 septembre, we celebrated our back-to-school with a big party, "La fête de la rentrée"!

Sandy Hill Elementary is a dual-track school, with both French and English programs. We decided to bring an essential element of francophone culture to our community: joie de vivre! Inspired by the 20-year tradition of the Francophone Cultural Centre at SFU, we threw a party, with poutine and fries, games, French music and dancing, and prizes for each class! It was such a fun way to share our French Immersion culture with the school. Everyone had a great time!
