Black History Month
February 12, 2026
Black History Month is a time to celebrate the achievements, history, and contributions of Black individuals who have shaped our world.
Last week Irene Nviiri shared her story in a school wide presentation to students. Her presentation was intended to convey the importance of everyone to engage in Black History Month and to create curiosity and inquiry about Black heritage.
This week Yale Secondary students visited our school to read to classes sharing important stories about Black history.
These presentations help students learn, reflect, and appreciate the impact of Black leaders, artists, and changemakers throughout history.
