Bullying- A New Approach to an Enduring Problem- Monday February 23,2026 on Zoom
Join internationally recognized counsellor, educator, and author Dr. Deborah MacNamara for an in-depth presentation on the roots of bullying and what adults can do to intervene effectively. Dr. MacNamara will explore why common anti-bullying efforts fall short, how to recognize the dynamics that fuel bullying, and how we can compassionately guide children through difficult situations.This webinar is open to all parents, caregivers, and educators. We hope you’ll join us for this important and timely conversation.
Study Smarter, Not Harder… with Your Brain in Mind-Wednesday April 8, 2025

Learning to Study with Your Brain in Mind, an energizing, research-based seminar for Abbotsford School District parents and students in Grades 4-12. National study-skills expert Terry Small, “The Brain Guy,” will share the proven strategies that have helped over 260,000 students boost results, confidence, and free time.
In this fast-paced, fun session, families learn how the brain really works—and how to use it to study more efficiently. Discover practical tools to improve memory, take better notes, manage time, tackle textbooks, and ace exams with less stress. Every tip is grounded in the latest neuroscience and easy to apply right away.
Feel Better Book Exploration Monday May 11, 2026
DPAC is excited to offer a unique parent learning opportunity led by Dr. Shahana Alibhai herself. Join us for an engaging, in-person exploration of her book Feel Better—a resource that aligns closely with the priorities identified in our recent parent learning survey. DPAC will provide all participating parents a free copy of Feel Better; quantities are limited, so early registration is encouraged. Books will be delivered directly to schools ahead of time, based on registrations.
