Christmas Holidays Have Arrived!

We have been working diligently refining our literacy, writing, and numeracy, and STEM skills since the beginning of Term 2. The products of this learning are evident in the seasonal writings posted on bulletin boards, in journals, and in the on-going assessments conducted by your child’s teachers. Despite this concentrated focus on refining our academic learning, students have also been engaged in creative learning in the form of varied Christmas and holiday season crafts, song, and dance. To help celebrate the season students (and their teachers) have been working diligently on preparing for our annual Christmas Concert series. Three dress rehearsals and six performances in three days—excitement is palpable!

We played to full houses of parents, grandparents, family members and special friends and are grateful for the warm and enthusiastic responses! The students were so proud of being able to perform for you!

On behalf of all of the Sandy Hill staff, we thank you all for the Christmas greetings, the cards, and small treats that you shared with us! We wish each and everyone of you a safe and enjoyable holiday season and look forward to seeing you on January 7th! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone!
